For the most adventurous people, we suggest going up Huayna Picchu (if it is not raining) from where you can appreciate the immensity of
Machu Picchu
, even more amazing being high and distant. Arriving at the top takes about two hours and a half and it must be before 1:00pm. It is necessary to register in an office at the beginning of the trail. An exciting adventure for the travelers who want to see, from the top, the nature and the carved stone emerging from the ground as a geological miracle.
Return train leaves Aguas Calientes in the afternoon, arrival in Cusco at 8:00PM.

A combination of a beautiful walk and the visit of the famous archaeological complex of Machu Picchu.
DAY 1: MARAS – MORAY – SALINERAS - OLLANTAYTAMBO
From Cusco, transfer to Maras. We start walking in the little town of Maras, which has nice colonial doors in its main street. In nearby Moray you find ¨the Inca lavatory¨. The circles were used for the development of different strains of crops. Between the highest and lowest terraces there is a difference of up to 15 degrees. Although the difference between neighboring terraces is very small, it is great enough to create distinct microclimates that change growing conditions and allow the propagation of a huge variety of plants each with slightly different growth requirements.
After this very atmospheric place we walk down to the saltpans of Salineras. Here more than 5000 terraces are still in production and many families of Maras bring their salt to the market of Urubamba on mules.
A short but rather steep walk brings you to Tarabamba in the Sacred Valley where we take a car to Ollantaytambo. In Ollantaytambo we take the afternoon train to Aguas Calientes.

DAY 2:
MACHU PICCHU
AND RETURN TO CUSCO
We take an early bus to the entrance of
Machu Picchu
and have a guided tour in this major Inca-site and then have free time to explore the ruins yourself.
In the afternoon, return train to Cusco.

The Inca trail is one of the unforgettable experiences you can have in the Andes: the different landscapes, microclimates, beautiful views at snow capped mountains and into green valleys in the atmosphere of old Inca times. You visit various archaeological sites and have the option for an overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.
DAY 1: CUSCO- KM 82- HUAYLLABAMBA
Pick-up from your hotel, transport to KM 82, start walking about 5-6 hours. We first see the Inca terraces of Patallaqta, and then end up in Huayllabamba for the first camp.

DAY 2: HUAYLLABAMBA- PACAYMAYU
The hardest part of the trail starts this morning when we walk from 3000m to the Warmiwañusca pass at 4200m. Then descend to the camp in Pacaymayu. Total walking time 6-7 hours.

DAY 3: PACAYMAYU- WIÑAYWAYNA
Start of a beautiful day with visits of the archaeological sites of Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, Conchamarca and Puyupatamarca before entering the complex of Wiñaywayna. If lucky, we have beautiful panoramic views of snow-capped mountains in the area. Campsite near the ruins.

DAY 4: WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHU PICCHU
An early start to the Sungate, to try to see the sun entering Machu Picchu. Guided visit of the most important parts of the ruins. If you like you can climb the Wayna Picchu Mountain. Return to Cusco in the afternoon, optional overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.
